Accessibility in et al.

et al. is designed to work with the accessibility settings and assistive technologies people use on their Apple devices.

What you can use today

• Light, dark, and higher contrast. et al. follows your system appearance. When Increase Contrast is on, the Safari popup, Library, in-page controls, and Mac app use stronger borders, separators, focus rings, or selection markers. You can also turn on High Contrast Colors for highlights.
• Labels and icons back up color. Main selection, lock, and status cues pair color with labels, icons, checks, borders, and focus. You can also rename highlight colors.
• Less motion and transparency. Animations are reduced or removed when Reduce Motion is on. Translucent Safari extension surfaces become more solid when Reduce Transparency is on.
• Keyboard access on Mac. Visible focus states and keyboard navigation are built into the Safari popup and Library.
• VoiceOver labels and updates. Main controls include accessibility labels, dialog behavior, and status announcements that VoiceOver can read.
