Ask uses Apple’s on-device models and requires Apple Intelligence on a supported iPhone, iPad, or Mac running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 or later. Ask is one part of et al. Pro. Chicago and IEEE citations, multi-source bibliography exports, and the four additional highlight colors remain available even when Ask isn’t supported. Custom colors and Zotero-compatible RIS exports do not require Apple Intelligence.
